Every path begins with a first step. For us, this first step was a concrete problem encountered in dental practice. The culmination of this path is the Root Tip Extractor.



DEVELOPMENT

A problem encountered by a dentist was addressed. The task was to enable root tips to be extracted economically WITHOUT surgical intervention.

PRODUCT TEST

In the test phase, some 200 practical specialists were equipped with a prototype.

The granted European patent and the international patent application PCT ensure that no other manufacturer uses our technology.

APPROVAL

After successful completion of the medical approval process for the rootEX Root Tip Extractor, serial production can begin.

With the help of modern laser technology we will produce the rootEX Root Tip Extractor in prime quality – Made in Germany.

Unlike commercially available tools for removing tooth fragments, our patented rootEX Root Tip Extractor offers an easy and safe way to extract root tips without any complications. The innovative retentive element of the tool enables the new and unique function of the rootEX Root Tip Extractor:

Pre-drilling allows cleaning and creates an opening so that the retentive plug can be pressed into the tooth fragment.

Unlike conventional tools like a screw, which are turned into the tooth‘s root tip, pre-drilling and subsequently pressing the extraction plug into the fragment, prevents the over-turning of the rootEX Root Tip Extractor and thus further breakage of the tooth fragment.

As soon as the plug is pressed deep enough into the tooth‘s root canal or fragment, the retentive element of the rootEX Root Tip Extractor connects through form- and /or force-locking to the tooth fragment.

This way, a complication-free extraction of the tooth fragment from the alveoli in one piece is guaranteed. Simply pull the rootEX Root Tip Extractor out together with the fragment.

The company

In 2016, Rainer Ganß addressed a problem encountered by a dentist for which there was no simple and economic solution. The objective was to be able to remove root tip fragments WITHOUT surgical intervention. After the development of several prototypes, the design of the rootEX Root Tip Extractor was finalized and implemented. The result is a precise drill head made of medical steel.

With the help of its retentive elements, milled using state-of-the-art laser technology, the rootEX Root Tip Extractor is able to extract root tip fragments after tooth extraction using a minimally invasive procedure.

In 2017, the rootEX Gmbh & Co. KG was founded with an aim towards patenting the system and implementing its market launch.
